Iris at 2.5 months old

Iris is doing so well and truly loves life. When she smiles at you, you just melt away. We love her so much. She is much more active now and loves to grab at her toys. We can't leave home with out her skunk, Flower.
Well, we are house searching at this time and crossing our fingers that we can get into one before the winter.
Thanks to everyone for all the prayers. D.J.'s mom found out that they were able to remove all of the cancer and she is now cancer free! Thank God! The power of prayer really is amazing!
Thanks again! We love you all!

IRIS ROSE WATCHING HER DADDY WORK IN THE MAJORS

She loves watching her daddy work!!!
Unfortunately, she is still struggling w/her cold. It is sooo sad and I broke down in tears when I couldn't get the boogies out of her nose. Poor thing can't blow her nose yet and you can hear the dang things flappin' around in there. I hope she gets better soon. The worst thing of all is that she got the cold from me. :( I feel just aweful. The dr said there is nothing we can do for her at this age...If anyone has any advice I'll take it! I am going to buy a cool mist humidifier tomorrow. Does anyone know of anything else I should do?

Baby Iris and Daddy 9/2/08

D.J. got to come home before heading off to the playoffs and back to the bigs! Woohoo, we are so excited!!! Last night he had the second reviewed call in Baseball history and, of course, got it right! ;) Tonight he was behind the plate and looked great! We are so proud of him and can't wait to celebrate when he comes home.

Hope all is well with everyone! Poor Iris caught my bad cold. Hopefully she will get better soon so we can have some fun before I head back to work! Love everyone and will talk more soon!

Totally in love-despite the lack of sleep-ha!

Well, lil' Iris is growing and changing so much in just 5 weeks! She is starting to smile and react to us so much! It really melts my heart. DJ will be home 9/1 and we can't wait. He will have to go back on the road until 9/9 and then he is home for a few weeks! He will be amazed by how much she has changed. Everyday I can see something new. Unfortunately, she is suffering from some baby acne, but it should be gone within a couple of weeks per Nurse Shannon. Hopefully, that will be the case. Oh, about a week ago she rolled over onto her belly. It was awesome to see another milestone met. However, she can't roll back over so I have to really watch her when she is playing on the ground. Well, hopefully I'll get more sleep soon and have more updates for ya soon! Lata
