36 WEEK BABY UPDATE

I went to Dr. Rupe on Tuesday. I was informed the baby is very low and I am 3cm dilated now. It could be anytime when the lil' guy decides to show up. I have entered an extreme exhaustion phase, but have managed to get quite a few things done. Thanks to the help of Gammy, Poppy, and DJ. We received a wonderful present of new carpet upstairs from Gammy and Poppy. It has been life changing! :) It is sooo soft, so beautiful, and so clean! Thank you isn't enough to express our Gratitude. Love you Gammy and Poppy. Also, HUGE thanks to Poppy for painting the baby's room. I was certain I wouldn't have a nursery ready when he got here, but what a relief and dream that I will!!! I didn't have a nursery for Iris b/c we were still living in an apartment. So I was so excited about getting one together this go around. Thanks to Gammy and Poppy for making it possible. Well, that is all I have for now. I can't wait for little man to get here. Hopefully, this week or upon D.J.'s return. He will be in CA for 9 days. I really hope he doesn't arrive in that time span. Eeeek!

Awaiting labor day

Unfortunately, I have spent so much of this pregnancy so super sick that I haven't been able to manage my blog among all of life's other tasks. :( However, it is time to return to the blogging world. We are sooo super excited for our lil' man to get here!!! I am 35 weeks preggo, 1.5 cm dilated, and 50% effaced. I am extremely uncomfortable and find it very difficult to sleep. Oh, and restless leg is Friggin killing me!!! Plus, we are having a very difficult time choosing his name. We will take any name suggestions to add to our list. We are hoping it will come to us when we see him for the first time. My birthday is tomorrow, Sept. 12, and it is a full moon. I wonder if that will have any influence on the pregnancy. And D.J. will be home, too. Yay!!! Time to finish the baby's room, etc. See ya soon!

A NEW BLESSING

It's blogging time! A new blessing is due to arrive on 10-10-11!
The off season....HURRAY!!!!
Well, this pregnancy hasn't been without it's challenges thus far. It just goes to show you how delicate life really is. Thankfully, the baby is growing well and I am 8 weeks and 1 day today! I saw the heartbeat and it is going strong. I am hoping that physically I will start feeling much better soon.
Time to document the good, the bad, and the ugly. I have a bruised placenta (there is really no other word to make that sound better...sorry about that one). Dr. Rupe stated that I should be officially out of the danger zone once I get past 12 weeks. So no exercise, no Stogey walks, and no picking up Iris without absolute neccessity=No fun! In addition, I have been suffering from some major nausea, etc that has caused me to reinjure the buldging disc in my neck. Ugh, not a fun first trimester. However, I will do anything to give this little person the best start in life. Hopefully, the next couple of trimesters will be much more peaceful. Please keep us in your prayers.
I have to go on to thank my wonderful parents for being there for us in every way!!! Iris has had an absolute blast spending the night with Gammy and Poppy while I have been down in the dumps. She gets really upset to see Mommy sick. It has been such a relief that she has not had to endure much of it as they have been so wonderful to keep her for me. I miss her terribly when I'm away, but it sure has been nice being able to focus on getting better and keeping her little sibling safe.
Iris is super excited about having a baby. She tells me all the time what she is going to teach the baby and the toys she will share with the little one. She sure is adamant that she is having a "little bruda." I told her that we can't make any promises, but I sure can't wait to find out what we are having!
I will keep everyone posted. Peace and Love!
