At 6 months of age...
Iris got her first tooth. She weighs over 17 lbs and is the 98th percentile for height. She started reaching for us. She played bashful when people approached her. She used her first video phone to talk to Uncle Troy in Naples, FL. She started playing peek-a-boo with her blankie. She started pointing and saying, "da da da da da." She started sitting up more on her own. She started self soothing more. Itsy, bitsy spider is still her favorite song and it can soothe just about any situation. She loves music and will stop everything to hear a good song. She loves her exersaucer. She loves her puppy. She smiles and reaches for him now. Just before she turned 7 months, she started jumping in her door frame bouncy. She celebrated her first Valentines day by spending the night with Gamma and Pops. Thanks Mom and Dad!
More to come later, Iris is now 7 months old and will go on her first plane ride in March!
Here we come Florida! :)

Baby Iris is the Pack Leader!!!
At 6 months of age Iris decided to take charge of these walks. With focus, determination, and some very white knuckles, she managed to hold on to the reins for a good ten minutes before exhaustion set in. As you can see, Stogey didn't mind too much! He is actually starting to follow us around the house. Everywhere Iris goes Stogey must go. They are going to be best of buddies. She is becoming much more interested in him as well. He comes over while she is playing in the floor and lays right beside her. She reaches for him and smiles at him all the time. They are becoming two peas in a pod and I love it!Monday, January 5, 2009
Baby Iris' first Christmas and New Year

Well, Iris' first Christmas was amazing! It was so special seeing her enjoy the Holiday so much and seeing all these firsts through her eyes. It is really moving. She is the best present ever!!! We had such a blast. It is the first holiday week I have taken in off work in a very long time. Troy and Leigh were in town, too! So we all got to spend a lot of quality family time. It was awesome--Not to mention, a lot of that time was spent rocking out to rock band on the Wii---thanks Mom and Dad for hooking us up with Wii!!! Also, we starting off the New Year in Savannah, GA w/the Reyburn's and Brya's. It was such an Awesome way to start off the New Year!!! Savannah is beautiful and one of my new favorite cities. I can't wait to go back. We enjoyed the pub crawl, ghost tours, and Leapold's Ice Cream. I definitely want to visit the pirates house next time. We also squeezed in some time at the Tybee Island. It was a really foggy, cold day and as soon as we walked to the Beach to take our pictures Iris had a blow out of the century!!! So, unfortunately, we did not last long at the beach, but we made it up by gorging ourselves on seafood at the Crabshack---it was delicious!!! Well, Happy New Year everyone!!! Much love

Ahhh, The holidays...

Well, starting w/the 2 pictures at the top. We decided to take our neighborhood luminary walk to look at all the Christmas lights. All of the streets are lined up w/luminaries. It is really beautiful. However, it was really, really cold. Baby girls photo in picture 2 says it all. :) The photo at the top didn't turn out to well, but I had to mark the occasion of the Christmas lights on our first home. The next two photos were taken at the Edins w/Daddy and Iris Rose and all our peeps. We had such a blast I had to add more photos to the blog. Well, more pictures to come. Merry Christmas Everyone and Happy New Year. We love you all and see ya soon!

FUN AT THE EDINS
We had such a blast at the Edins!!! Thanks again guys! It was so great seeing everyone.
It was definitely the coldest weather baby girl has ever seen and definitely the coldest water Stogey has ever felt. He found out that you can't always walk on a frozen lake b/c you just might fall through the ice. Lesson learned. Baby girl was so bundled up that she could not move a muscle. Thus, when you held her, her eyes just faced up towards the heavens. She kind of gave us the look of "you have go to be kidding me with this!" It was hysterical!
