The beat of my HEART!

Today was Dr visit #2 and it was heartbeat day!!! I heard the baby's heartbeat for the 1st time and it was music to my ears. It took her a while to find the heartbeat b/c the baby was hiding very low in my abdomen. Some may say that means you are having a Boy, but I just have no idea. We can't wait to find out though. The big day is Feb. 27th! We are trying to squeeze it in before D.J. leaves for Spring Training and we'll be cutting it close. I hope the Baby isn't camera shy. I plan on leaving some belly bump pic's on here soon. It is just now starting to grow. I have only gained a pound, but have added about 2 inches to my waistline. So wierd. Well, we love you all!

BIG NEWS!

I visited DJ in Arizona for Halloween weekend and 2 weeks later we found out that we were PREGGO!!! We slowly started spreading the word, but all we really wanted to do was shout it from a mountain top! I believe D.J. did shout it out after a full day of tailgating and watching the LIONS. :) Now, we are in our 12th week and I'm slowly getting over the difficulties of the 1st trimester. THANK GOODNESS! Now, I can sit back and enjoy the pregnancy more. We had our first ultrasound on December 12th and the baby measured 8 weeks and 6 days. The lil' bugga was dancing around in there and I could not believe my eyes. We were on such a high. My next appointment is January 9th. I can't belive the 1st trimester is almost over. I believe this is a small indication of how fast the pregnancy will actually go. We sure have a lot to do and DJ will be leaving me even sooner this year since he will be working Big League Spring Training!!! Woohoo another blessing that could not have come at a better time.
